Leaders should listen to others. Only when you listen to what others want to say, will others then do what you want them to help you do. Leaders should also command presence. If nobody listens to you or you do not make your stand well, likewise, your ideas will not be heard and people will not be under your lead either.
Be a Role Model and Not the Boss: A leader is someone who leads others. Try to be a part of the team rather than just giving orders and targets.
Approachable: If you are approachable, it becomes easy for the team members to come to you and discuss their issues.
A leader should remain calm when in managing a crisis under stressful situations. If the leader is frantic, the people whom the leader leads will also be frantic for they have no direction and the situation will only get worse.
